A non-cracky season of Andromeda? Whoa. What show were you watching? *g* That was probably S2 (Trance turns gold and James Marsters and Christopher Judge make a guest appearances) or S3 (Gaheris Rhade has his own AU ep, Tyr leaves, and Michael Shanks and Chris Judge show up for the second time each).
The first season was the least cracked and the most scientifically believable, probably due to a higher level of involvement on Majel Roddenberry's part (and a smaller degree of removal from Gene's notes), but strangely enough it had fewer really good eps (you know, when they find a good explanation for some profoundly stupid scifi thingamajig, or prove that, yes, the writers have actually read a little Nietzche, despite appearances?).
