The Great Weirdness, the Psychotic Plot Bunny herself, [profile] moss6886. Also known as my mom. We spent several hours of the day fiddling with themes and stuff. The amount of time we took was partly due to indecision, mostly due to the fact that we happen to have the Dial-Up Connection from HELL.

She mostly got the lj account to facilitate her lurking. As a matter of fact, her journal is called "Something to Do with Lurking." As far as I'm aware she doesn't have an OTP (well, Jack/Daniel, SG-1), but she tends to read Spike/Xander and the occasional Spike/Angel or ensemble piece. Actually, she'll read just about anything, except for Buffy/Giles (which squicks me almost as much as it squicks her). And I usually have to twist her arm to get her to read Spuffy (slowly but surely, I'll convert her eventually). If my guess is correct, her journal will likely end up being mostly composed of recs. Or maybe not. Maybe it will be nothing but a barren wasteland, a mere cover for a lurker such as her. Or, you know, she'll bitch about work. That's what normal people do, right? Oh, right... Not normal. Weird and geeky. ;)

Hmph

I'd object, but you're probably right...

How much do I love that your mom got an lj? I tried to get my mom to read fic, but I failed miserably at it. We're both B/A shippers, so I started her on that, and she didn't even finish one fic. And when I mentions S/A, she runs screaming from the room. Ah, indoctrination into slash. Why must it be so difficult for some?

Anyway, hope it's fun!

It helps that my mother's mind is even smuttier than mine. She's where I got it from. It wasn't too difficult to get her started on slash. We started reading Stargate: SG-1 fic independently (me about six months or so ahead of her), and from there it was just a matter of "read this, it's funny, you'll like it, and these authors here are really good, too." I think I've created a monster, though. She reads more than I do (mostly because she reads much faster).

And it's already lots of fun. I'm way better at taunting in a written format. *EG*

My mom and I are really good friends, so we could have a lot of fun with it, but yeah. The problem is she's nowhere near as smutty as me, and she gets embarrassed by her own libido. Her loss, though.

Glad you two are havin' fun!
